My Top 2 Productivity Tools

January was rough! I know I’m not the only one trying to jumpstart 2020 this month. Am I right? Ha!  And let me just say that if you did nothing but self-care your way through January, you were productive!  This mom, wife, career-driven, hustle life can be a lot to keep up with. Today I am sharing my top 2 productivity tools and why I love them.

First up is the Notes app for iPhone. I literally have hundreds of notes.  I grew up watching my mom write down “To-Do” lists and I adopted this strategy for myself back in middle school.  The benefit of Notes is that I can brain dump anywhere and at any time because I always have my phone with me, I don’t have to remember to carry it along.  It allows me to store my grocery lists, packing lists, and to-do lists all in one place. Plus, I can search and refer back to old notes. This is particularly clutch when traveling now that I have a munchkin to pack for and cannot afford to forget one of his 100 things. Also, with this last iOS update, we now have the ability to reorder checklists which comes in handy for grocery lists. I usually brain dump by meal and then reorder the list by produce, meat, dairy, etc.  You’re welcome!

The other tool I am in love with is my Layered Living Planner from HerSpaceCo. To start, it’s a pretty planner inside and out. That’s enough to get me excited (vain, I know).  What I love about this tool is that it helped me to get in tune with my heart’s desires in various areas (layers) of my life. It walked me through reflection exercises and forced me to develop steps to be intentional for every layer.  Some of my favorite layers to address have been DreamHer, OrganizHer, EvolvHer, and InvestHer.  Having my dreams, goals, and action steps written out in the planner helps me to plan my days, weeks, and months with intention. Last year I bought this planner and I fell off hard sometime in January of 2019 due to a number struggles. I almost allowed fear of falling off again to keep me from repurchasing this planner, but I choose courage. And with that I chose diligent to be my word of the year, which was my 2019 word of the year.

What are some of your favorite productivity tools or hacks? Please share, I’m always looking for a tip or tool to make the wife, mom, career juggle a little smoother.
